Blake just started as the alternate/understudy(?) Mr. Braithwaite. It turns out that Blake is the cousin of one of my good friends! I hear he is great and I can't wait to see him in the show.

Blake is Mr. Braithwaite in the Chicago production, so I have moved his thread here.

Blake is playing his last show in Chicago today as Mr. Braithwaite. He'll be moving back to New York to join the cast of "Elf the Musical" which will be playing on Broadway at the Al Hirschfield Theatre for a limited run over the holidays (November 14, 2010 thru January 2, 2011).

Former Broadway and Chicago Mr. Braithwaite, Blake Hammond, who left the Chicago cast of BETM to appear in "Elf: The Musical" on Broadway over the holidays, has been announced, along with the full cast, of the new Broadway musical "Sister Act", which opens in previews at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway) on March 24, 2011 and will open on Wednesday, April 20, 2011:

I was happy to see Blake in the role of Uncle Fester in The Addams Family last night. He was outstanding and was a hit with the entire audience. I last saw him in Billy Elliot Chicago. He continues living his dream!

Blake will play the roles of Captain Hook and The Old Crow and will team up with former fellow BETM cast member Giuseppe Bausilio in a Staged Reading of the newly published work called The Lost Boy, by a renowned playwright known more for his career in television and most importantly the role of Arnold Horshack on the 1970s hit, “Welcome Back Kotter”, Ronald Gabriel Paolillo.

This is a one night only fundraiser on October 14, 2013 at 7:30pm.

Blake is currently starring in First Date The Musical on Broadway in an absolutely MUST SEE role/roles. He was HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!

Blake has been cast as Sebastian in the new national tour of Cinderella. The ensemble of the show will include fellow BETM alumni Richard Gatta and Thad Turner Wilson.
