I do think eight is the correct number, Chris. However, I think it's Tade who spins the chair and Julian who spins the AIDS Ribbon at the end. Maybe someone who was there will enlighten us.

It is Julian, not Tade, who spins the chair & dances & Julian also spins the AIDS Ribbon at the end.

Julian is the Billy who spins the chair, dances & then spins the AIDS Ribbon.

Thanks Muck, agreed. Only one Billy is wearing a polo shirt. He spins both the chair and the ribbon. The other 7 are all wearing white BILLY t-shirts. The one who is spinning has very dark hair. Tade's hair is much lighter. Also anyone who has seen Julian in person would know his cheeks are unmistakable, even through this much glare. ;)

Good observation, Chris. The shirt is the definite tip off. I never noticed it. I stand corrected. It was indeed Julian who did both the chair and the ribbon. Interesting that the newest Billy was chosen to do the dancing. He did a great job :)

The Billy count was up to 9(!) for the awarding. Joseph/Giuseppe/Jacob/Trent/Tommy/Julian/Tade/Peter are all there again, with Alex joining them (in the Playbill link above that ERinVA posted, I'm pretty sure that's Alex's head behind Joseph lol). So many Billy's! Wish I could've seen that. The most I've seen was the 7 at the anniversary show a few weeks back!

Here's a YouTube version of the BETM Broadway presentation at the Gypsy of the Year show, from a slightly different angle:

Video of the presentation of awards here. First there is an extensive interview with the cast of Grease. The award to BETM is at around 10:50 in.
