According to the NY Times, producers have confirmed that a fully reworked version of FLASHDANCE, which opened in the West End in 2010, is headed to Broadway in Fall 2012.

In the disappointing musical "Flashdance" that landed with a thud at the Marcus Center Tuesday night, we begin in Alex's dreary steel mill, where a search for gravitas means a lengthy backstory about recession and cutbacks — one of many places where this musical unsuccessfully attempts to channel "Billy Elliot."
