It looks to me to be as follows: If you come out through the VPT main front doors and turn left, walk past the other theatre doors and up to the pedestrian crossing the new glass entrance to the Tube would be on the other side of Bressenden Place that you would reach having crossed the road.

For those who know the Victoria Street area or who may be visiting the Theatre soon may like to know that some of the shops, including Sainsbury's and restaurants ( in the parade opposite the Tube Station exit) are already closed down. I do not think it will be long before the Victoria Palace Theatre will be a stand-alone structure.

Most depressing. I might have to have a word with Sir Stephen regarding him not to be tempted by offers from wealthy developers. The poor VPT looks a lonely amidst all the builders' rubble, hoardings and scaffolding.....if it isn't listed, we had better get it listed!

I'm sure the VP is listed. It has quite a history:

Not Bella Italia too ! Gosh, two of my favorite pre-show dining options appear to have bitten the dust (the other being the Duke of York pub). I've always liked the convenience and security of being close to the theatre when I eat dinner before the show so I don't have to worry about getting to the show late.

Ever the eternal optimist, I'm going to hope the buildings are under temporary renovation during the underground work and will re-open at some point. Or have you heard that the buildings are scheduled for demolition ?

Unfortunately, Todd, all of the buildings will shortly be "dropping like flies" and the VPT will be an oasis.

Still plenty of other restaurants in the area, though.

Echoing Ellen's comments, yes that was depressing. :(

Are they going to leave alone the Wagamama/Nando area in the back? I hope so.
