Re: YAGP BE alumni thread?

Eltonjohn wrote:Since this forum keeps track of all kinds of details, would it be an idea to list all the BE affiliated dancers we know who also compete(d) at the various levels of the YAGP competition program? For example I read that even one of the Korean Billies has YAGP success on his C.V.
YAGP is one of the competition venues, on both the regional and national levels, where the Billy search teams find potential Billys, so there are quite a few YAGP alumni among Billys who have performed in North America. I don't think the YAGP has had much to do with finding London Billys. In fact, I don't think that any of the American London Billys have been found through YAGP, but I could be wrong.

A thread that lists all Billy boys who have competed in YAGP competitions could be a possibility if someone wants to take on the task of compiling the information.

Lex Ishimoto! Fantastic. Ballet must be addicting, once you're exposed to it.

You don't say. What are some of the other competitions or exhbitions frequented by wranglers of high potential Billies I wonder.

If the list was constructed like urb.dictnry or a wiki, then would that be a feasible way to proceed?

[or maybe YAGP website should....]

NYC Dance Alliance conventions, Showstoppers, Jump, Nextstar, Headliners, etc.

Here is just one google page listing some of them:

Audition notices are also sent out to dance and performing arts schools around the country, of course. Many Billys and Michaels first hear of auditions from their teachers.

The Billy Elliot community will be well represented this year by these fine gentlemen:
Junior Contemporary Soloists:
#174 Ethan Fuller
#175 Lex Ishimoto

Senior Men Contemporary Soloists:
#328 Landon Harris
#329 Giuseppe Bausilio

Ethan and Landon will also dance as part of group 606 in the Ensembles Competition.

Break a leg to all! :D
It came to my attention that another former Billy is also competing at YAGP this year: #337 Cesar Corrales.
Sorry for the omission, and break a leg to Cesar as well.
