This article in the LA Times, titled "An 'Annie' for grown-ups on Broadway", discusses the concept and approach that director James Lapine took when creating the current production. There is an excellent photo of Lilla with the dog "Sandy".

These are some great reviews for Lilla! I also loved this line in the article:
"Critics couldn’t be more pleased with the timing of a dog named Sandy bounding onstage to help heal the woes left by the hurricane of the same name."
