Congratulations to Billy Choreographer, Peter Darling, who won the 2012 Whatsonstage Award for Best Choreographer for his work on Matilda The Musical (which also won another 3 awards including Best New Musical).

That's a lovely article. I'm so, so pleased, too, that he'll be choreographing Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. If it's anywhere near as good as BETM or Matilda, then it'll be an oustanding piece of theatre. Can't wait!

Haydn Gwynne also received an award as Best Supporting Actress in a Play:
Beloved Brit Dame Helen Mirren was recognized for her performance in The Audience with the Best Actress in a Play award. Her castmate Haydn Gwynne (seen on Broadway in Billy Elliot) took home the accolade for Best Supporting Actress in a Play.
