Publicity for San Diego

Post by BEtourfan »

In anticipation of the show's arrival in May, the local PBS station is airing "Finding Billy" this afternoon.

And speaking of PBS, the local PBS outlet in San Diego is offering two tickets to BETM if you donate at the $200 to their annual fundraiser:

Anyone know if this broadcast can be viewed anywhere on the net?

I think that most clips from it have been removed from youtube because of copyright issues; however, if you do a search, you might find at least one.

Because of those same copyright issues, we can't link it on here.

And just one more quick note on Finding Billy. The director, Joe Locarro, was not able to re-release the program with the updated epilogue showing Trent, David, and Kiril three years later (more grown up) so if you do ever see that version (copyright 2012) on your local PBS station, save it!!! :) A few of us were there for the showing of it in NYC with a talkback with David, Kiril, and Trent afterward, but it hasn't made any rounds since...or so I believe. Sad because the new ending was so awesome.

Here's a piece of advance publicity for the San Diego stop from a website called SoCal Kids San Diego:

As a promotion, some local restaurants in San Diego are offering tickets and dinner at select shows while BETM is there. Depending on how good the tickets are, could be a decent deal:
