They were filming the event last night, so there might be a video at some point via the BETM Website, official Facebook page or Twitter.

Here is the link to an article on Broadway World about the 4 millionth visitor to BETM London.
Congratulations to Sharon Hick.

4 Million + Patrons

I would love to know what economic effect along running musical has on the city it is playing in. BETMUK with discounting taken into effect has probably pumped well over a 100 million pounds into the British economy. I guess it has probably been responsible for giving hundreds of people in the theater business decent paying jobs(plus a few Americans :D ).

I have to say that since it's been so long since I've been there to London, I really felt like I was in the Victoria Palace Theatre while I watched that video. So awesome and yes, congratulations to her!!!

I recognise some people as well Pat, I can't think who 'those two' were in A1 and A2 and was that Ryanair's Mick O'Leary in B15 ? ;)
I'm glad to see they edited out most of Sharon trying to get out of row F as I felt sorry for her as she looked like a contestant struggling to get out of her audience row on The Price is Right in 1987 with Leslie Crowther

Congratulations to Sharon and her friends daughters and as mentioned the prize was for dinner and two nights at The Grosvenor Hotel in Buckingham Palace Road rather than the god awful 1960's concrete monstrosity that was the Thistle Hotel which has now thankfully been demolished and is currently a pile of rubble and the Victoria area looks much better for it.

LOL.... and, funnily enough, I easily recognised (more than once) a person that's usually BEHIND the camera rather than in front

Oh, how I love the fun and banter associated with BETM/VPT and this Forum :D . Looking forward to sharing the same with all our visitors from across the pond on 11th May weekend. Perhaps we should organise a route map for them so they can actually find the theatre among the rubble and not end up in "prohibited premises" across the road. Apparently, if the rumour machine is to be believed, someone made that mistake fairly recently but legal constraints prevent a naming and shaming :D.
