What I personally find even more remarkable is that there is a next May to speak of! The future of the London show was still uncertain due to the Victoria's closure plans, correct? We can't know anything for certain, but that sure speaks to the chance Billy will be moving to another theatre.

According to this article, published in May 2014, the refurbishments won't take place until autumn 2016, though I guess this is always subject to change.
The theatre will close for around twelve months from autumn 2016, to tie in with surrounding redevelopment work.
Also, from the same article a statement was made by the producers of the show:
Billy Elliot the Musical continues to enjoy a phenomenally successful run at the Victoria Palace Theatre where it will continue to play for at least the next two and a half years.
Of course this can't be confirmed unless ticket sales are extended.

Sadly, you can't set too much store by the official site. I had a heart attack once when at one point it was saying that they were taking bookings only through a date about 6 weeks ahead of where we were. Happily, it occured to me TRY booking a seat for 6 months out, and the system didn't quail, so I took it that the six weeks limit was just a scrap of "old" "news". Whew. I suppose they DO get LOTS of things right.

DT: In Billy Elliot you play Mrs Wilkinson, the ballet teacher who helps, inspires, and even bullies Billy towards achieving his dream. With all the fabulous roles that you have played, where does Mrs Wilkinson stand as a highlight of your career?

RH: It really is a wonderful role. It’s up there with Roxy Hart in Chicago and Polly in Crazy For You. That’s why I extended my contract – I just love it
I guess that's official confirmation. Great news!

Here is a classy interview with a classy leading lady. Reading between the lines, she expresses no hint of leaving BETM any time soon.

Imagine if, in thirty years, her youngest daughter (who has 'the bug') plays Mrs Wilkinson, and Ruthie plays Grandma!
