Nothing comes up for me. I searched for Dublin.

The date is very funny for me as I will be in Norway to see the Billy Elliot there on the 26-27th and will fly back to Dublin on the 28th... My plane is scheduled to land 12:40 so I will have like an hour to get to the city centre :)

This tweet is interesting:

Specially since the cinema where I go to see films, organises regular events where people can come to see live opera and concerts. So maybe, if I'm lucky, Billy Elliot will be shown there as well.

RE the question of US showings: Since the live performance is at 2 pm UK time, then it could be simulcast here in the US with no problem. That would put the ET time at 7 pm, the CT time at 6 pm, the MT time at 5 pm, and the PT time at 4 pm.

According to Digital Spy, it's supposed to be shown worldwide:

Surely, times in these US regions are behind - and not ahead - of UK time, making 2.00 p.m. in London equate to 9.00 a.m. in the E.T. zone, 8.00 a.m. in CT, 7 a.m. in MT and 6 a.m. in the PT zones?

With that in mind, cannot it be shown live in UK theatres, and then recorded for rebroadcast at suitable times worldwide?

Oops! Of course.

Just starting out my day on a backwards note. ;)

Obviously, it will have to be broadcast here on delay instead of simulcast. But I'll take a recorded version if it actually shows up here. 8-)

Here's a link to the newsletter announcement that just arrived in my mailbox:

http://digital.akauk.com/billyelliot/em ... index.html

It says that tickets are now on sale for the performance at the VPT:
For those who wish to be part of this historical day, tickets for this special performance of Billy Elliot the Musical are on sale from today via the Victoria Palace Theatre box office. The performance will commence at 2pm.

I just checked the website, and the booking engine has the date listed, but all the stalls seats are showing as unavailable at the moment.

Simulcasting it in Europe should not be a problem since were only one hour ahead. Most of Eastern Europe is geographically in the same timezone as London, but we use GMT+1 (now +2 because of daylight saving) instead of GMT.

I really hope my local cinema will broadcast this.
