Maybe they present a new Mrs Wilkinson on that date.

May 12 is a Tuesday. I believe that Tuesday is Ruthie's normal day off, but if they plan a special show for that date, she might switch out her day. However, there certainly have been debuts and leaving shows for Billys, Michaels, etc., in the past that have been done with alternate adult cast members performing the principal roles.

According to Brodie's statement on youtube, reminding us to vote for Billy at the Olivier Audience Awards, the 10th Birthday Celebration will be in May.

Does anyone know if there's a castchange around that date. I'm going to see Billy Elliot at the end of May and I hope to see the current cast.

I don't know, but Ruthie seems to be scheduled only until May 16th (see the VPT-website), and the March 7th seems to be some kind of special (maybe someone leaves?). The Billys, however, are not likely to have outgrown their roles yet - and growing too tall (or being injured) seems to be the most common (if not only) cause for a (British) Billy to leave. (I got the impression by reading the Billy-biographies over at SkyKid.com)

some of the contracts end on may 13, though there might be an extension I heard. but for now it's the 13th.
(bit odd midweek, but the contracts started may 12 last year, didn't they?)

There have been cast changes at the end of May in past years, but that doesn't mean there will be changes this time. What the company decides about contracts is strictly up to them, and, as always, we ask our members not to get involved in speculation about cast leavers and/or arrivals. If/when information is made available publicly, we can assure everyone that it will be posted on here very quickly.

Guys, I know there is still nothing online for 12th May but has anyone tried to ask for tickets at the box office or by phone? I just saw couple of third-party websites saying that there is just no 'online availability'.

Thanks,

Yes I have asked at the box office and no tickets are available for May 12th. I have also asked if that is the date of the anniversary show and have been told that they don't know!

I imagine it is, but if I lived a distance away I wouldn't spend a fortune on hotel rooms or flights until I had a ticket. I suspect that after all the former cast/company members and their family and friends have their tickets, and loads are set aside for z list celebrities, there will not be many available to the public. I hope that the fans that have been going for many years, like many on this site, will get the chance to attend.
