"Hi, I am Bas Heerkens and I will play Billy's dad in Billy Elliot the Musical. The rehearsels are very complicated. We are rehearsing in five seperate studios. Something happens in every studio, every day. From time to time we come to getter to stitch the pieces together. It is very cool to do and it surprises me every time."

Bas is presented a Musical World award for Best Supporting Actor a Musical for his portrayal of Dad in Billy Elliot in The Netherlands.
