Every time BETM is performed at a new location....in a new language......in a new social milieu......it seems to resonate. And it gains strength, and significance.
The greatness of this musical seems to be without limits. And (unlike
Mary Poppins, to pick just one) it is not a 'British' musical, but one whose message is universal.
Really, someone will write a doctoral thesis about this.........

A new video is up on the Noorteater (Nordea Concert Theatre) Youtube channel. It shows Billy (Kaspar Kiisk) and Older Billy (Rudolf Bauman) rehearsing
Dream Ballet. While the narration and interviews with the boys are in Estonian, it's still interesting to see the preparation they go through for, by accounts elsewhere in this thread, a very different rendition of this number.
