Noah de Vos - Michael

Post by ERinVA »

Noah will also be playing Michael in the Dutch production. We're still looking for his last name.

 "Found it!" ;)

Thank you, Billy123 for the information. :D

In the last episode of 'Billy Elliot: Van Auditie tot Applaus' we got to see how Noah only auditioned last July and the company hired a tap teacher to join him on his vacation so he wouldn't fall behind on the other boys. He never did any tap dancing before. What a dedicated young man Noah must be. I hope his debut tonight goes fabulously!

Here's a nice feature article about Noah:

http://www.almeredezeweek.nl/meespelen- ... -supertof/

English Translation:
Playing in Billy Elliot 'supertof! "

9 december 2014

ALMERE - Due to a shortage Michael "was the 12-year-old Noah Fox in June still enroll in the Billy Elliot sCOOL in Amsterdam. That was a few months after the rest of the cast was already busy rehearsing for the musical Billy Elliot, which premiered last week at the Circus Theatre in Scheveningen. Noah: "It's very cool that I can join here now."

Noah plays Michael, the best friend of Billy in the musical. Billy Elliot is based on the eponymous film about a 11 year old boy from a working class at the time of my strikes in England. Billy sits on boxing but ends up accidentally in a ballet class and to his surprise he seems to have a talent.
Noah: "My mother saw the call and found it a bit for me. After the audition, on Sunday, I got a call a few days later and I could join immediately. I can already hip hop dance and breakdance (Noah did earlier participated in the TV program So You Think You Can Dance and Everybody dance now, ed.) But not tap dancing. There they saw potential in it and therefore I could start at an accelerated process. Also acting and singing, I had to learn. Since I already had a vacation planned, there went a tap dance instructor to Spain to teach me that. Because that was the hardest, singing and acting, I could still catch up but I had to tap dance practice a lot. "And it worked. The premiere he found "very cool." "And the role of Michael is very nice, because I give people a good feeling. Michael is funny. "
Besides Noah four boys playing the role of Michael, so they do not have to stand every night on stage. "I got to play in the premiere was totally awesome. There is absolutely no competition among themselves, everyone grants it together. We have in recent times become real friends. We are very committed. " Forty times on the boards Despite the musical to see though, rehearsals continuing. "Six days a week we rehearse, because there are always changes. And this year I play ten more time at the show. Next year, approximately forty times. There I very excited! It's becoming a new meeting with the show, you'll always something new to. The play is tiring because I have to sing, act, tapping and should keep in mind throughout. But it's great. And because I'm in a sport class of Akhenaton, I often get room later to start or to leave earlier for a workout. " The Almere Noah Fox plays Michael in the musical Billy Elliot. To learn to tap dance, there was a Dutch teacher at his holiday destination in Spain to learn tap dance Noah.
