They are planning to keep Hungarian Billy Elliot on stage for a long time, they've just started a new casting for the season 2018/19!

What do you think about this concept art for the Dream Ballet scene in Hungary?

The choreographer told in this interview that instead of flying there would be a full scene of Swan Lake during Dream Ballet.

An interview (in Hungarian) with, I presume, a Billy and Mrs Wilkinson:

first question was about casting.
Kamil said it was a long process, it started 1.5 years ago. he enjoyed the casting and the all the rehearsals with all other boys, they were friends, not rivals up until the final decision who gets to play Billy, but then they made peace again.
Next question was about his background whether he did any ballet before.
he didn’t do any ballet before (except for a short training before the casting), but he did dance and the Chancellor of the Hungarian Dance Academy had seen him perform and offered him a place there
Then Nikolett went on praising how talented Kamill was.
Next question was addressed to Nikolett, whether it was a challenge to work with children on stage.
She was talking nonsense then went on about Kamill flying. Kamill then said he had seen the Dream Ballet with Elliot Hanna on DVD and he wanted the part just to be able to fly. He did fly the day before and he loved it.
Then he was asked about his schedule.
He was in school from 8 am to 2 pm, then he went to the Dance Academy and then he went for the rehearsal and finished at 10 pm. This had been his schedule for the last 2 months.
Then she asked Nikolett if the musical would be different to the movie.
Lastly Kamill was asked if he was nervous about the premier and he said he was ok, he could forget about it and had a good night sleep.

That would explain why the cast list includes Anya, Odette, Prince, and Rothbart, all characters from Swan Lake.
