NBC's next televised airing of a live musical will be "Hairspray", set for Wednesday, December 7.

Here is the first casting announcement. Jennifer Hudson will play Motormouth Maybelle, and Harvey Fierstein will reprise his Tony-winning role as Edna Turnblad.

(Now, is that THE Ricky Schroeder that is listed in the Ensemble???)
The ensemble will feature Josh Alexander, William Bell, Helene Britany, Riley Costello, Kelli Ann Erdmann, Zack Everhart, Sam Faulkner, Annie Gratton, Thomasina Gross, Marissa Heart, Joanna Jones, Jacque Lewarne, Tommy Martinez, Allie Meixner, Eliotte Nicole, Tiana Okoye, Amos Oliver III, Tyler Parks, Re'sean Pates, Andrew Pirozzi, Katherine Roarty, Rhon Sanders, Ricky Schroeder, Heather Tepe, Joy Marie Thomas, Mason Trueblood, Karl Skyler Urban, Keenan Washington and Jason Williams.

THE Ricky Schroeder, but I believe the one at least I was thinking of from Silver Spoons is Ricky Schroder (different spelling of last name and different person).
