There will be a movie version of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. Casting of the leads has been announced. Acting newcomer Max Harwood will play the title role of Jamie New, stepping into the role currently played on stage by Layton Williams.

Layton Williams will reprise his successful West End role, and will be joined by George Sampson, the street dancer who won the second series of Britain's Got Talent in 2008 at the age of 14, who appears as Dean.

Layton Williams will headline the American premier of "Everybody's Talking About Jamie" at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, running January 16 – February 20, 2022. From what I've heard this is an extension of the UK tour, and not a new US production.

A nice interview in the Yorkshire Evening Post about Layton Williams. Among other things, the article gets into how Layton will come to Leeds next month - and Layton is thrilled to be back in a city which is close to his heart. It was in Leeds that he did the Billy Elliot School preparing for his first big West End show -- Billy Elliot the Musical.
