Argenta Community Theater in Little Rock, AR will produce the show Apr 22-May 2, 2020, per MTI and Broadway World.

Auditions are announced:

Billy Elliot auditions
Argenta Community Theater, 405 Main St., North Little Rock, will hold auditions for the musical Billy Elliot, 5-9 p.m. Jan. 25 and 2-6 p.m. Jan. 26. Prepare 16 bars of a song that showcases your vocal range — either from the actual show or with the same feel as music from the show — and provide sheet music for the accompanist who will be provided for the audition. The audition will also call for readings from the script and a dance call. All roles require some singing; performers of all genders, races and ethnicities are welcome to audition. Visit argentacommunitytheater.org/auditions for a character breakdown; email Casting@ArgentaCommunityTheater.org for an audition appointment. Production dates, April 22-May 2, include two daytime school shows. Rehearsals start March 22 but dance/vocal rehearsals for some performers may start earlier.

Out of curiosity, I visited the Argenta Community Theater website to see what the character breakdown looked like that the theater was providing to prospective cast members. For a small community theater, it was perhaps the best such page I've seen -- a well thought out and very detailed description of what they're looking for in each character.

The entire cast for the BETM production at the Argenta Community Theater in Little Rock, AR has been announced. It will be led by Corbin Pitts as Billy.

The Argenta Community Theater has rescheduled their BETM production again -- and are now selling tickets for July 22-August 1, 2020.

This BETM production, originally scheduled for Apr 22-May 2, 2020 and subsequently rescheduled for July 22-August 1, 2020 has now been postponed again, this time with new dates TBD.

They have announced a new season, with PIPPIN being this summer's production, and no BETM. Hopefully it will be considered for a future year.
