IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTERING TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THIS FORUM:

BillyElliottheForum is happy to welcome new members who are truly interested in discussing the many worldwide productions of Billy Elliot the Musical. We just want to make sure that if you are interested in joining our forum, you have a clear understanding of how our registration process works.

The activation process for newly registered members of BillyElliottheForum is not automatic. When registering for membership on this forum, every person is required to provide their correct identity to the administrators of the site as part of the registration process. Every activation request is personally reviewed by an administrator and accepted or rejected based on the information provided, including (but not limited to) true identity and IP address.

During the registration process, applicants are asked to create a username. Once the account is activated, this username becomes the member's forum identity. It is not advisable to use your real name as your forum username. The true identity of each member remains private and is not accessible to other forum members, with the exception of the administrators and moderators of the forum.

Here is an example of a registration that would be rejected:

Username: Co-op Pasty
First Name: Co-op
Last Name: Pasty

The registrant created a username, but did not provide their real name. Therefore, this activation request would be rejected.

In addition, as a protection against trolls and spam, once an account has been activated, every new member is temporarily placed on our Moderation Queue. This means that any posts made by the new member must be reviewed by a moderator before they are approved to appear on the forum. This restriction remains in place until the member has demonstrated by several posts that their interest in Billy Elliot the Musical is legitimate. After several post approvals, the restriction is normally lifted, and the member's posts will appear without any further delays.
