Dated October 8, but posted yesterday, Kate has updated the blog (for the next to the last time?) as she talks about the emotional experience of her last show on Broadway:

Re: Kate Hennig
Kate's final entry to her popular Cast Blog on the BETM Broadway website has been posted.
Among other things she says...

So it looks like the plan is for her to still go to Chicago to join the show there, despite the early closing.Soon I will be heading off to Chicago to meet my new leading men, to meet a brand new company of miners and their families, a new team entirely. It will be a little like walking into a family portrait that’s filled with people you’ve never met. Weird. But soon, they will feel like home. I will belong to them, and they to me. And I will bring that new family here to meet my old family. I know that Toronto is going to love this show. I can’t wait to play for the home crowd!

Re: Kate Hennig
Canada's Kate Hennig talks about being in a big commercial hit musical as opposed to the roles in straight plays she had built her career on prior to 2009.
I've always loved Kate's take on the show and really miss her blog entries. She just has a unique way of looking at things. Kate, talking about what it was like working on Broadway for a year, doing eight shows a week, produced my favorite line from this article:
“I know what a Broadway dancer is and I am not one,” says Hennig. “I had to really take it up a notch. You’re singing and talking the whole time you’re moving. The only way to train for that is by doing it. You can’t be at the gym singing on the treadmill.”

Re: Kate Hennig
Nice story about Kate. I too miss her blogs.
Note to the admins: doesn't this thread belong with the current cast?

Re: Kate Hennig
Looks like BETM Toronto now has its own separate site. Not only that, but Kate Hennig's blog is continuing on there.

Re: Kate Hennig
Here's another article about Kate. This one seems like it could have been at least partially written before the show opened in previews (i.e. "Hennig said now that rehearsals have begun, she's getting back into her role."). It's a very good, in-depth article, though, with lots of her history as an actress -- perhaps the most so of any I've read on her.

That's great! It's really nice to see that rehearsal footage, and to hear Kate's take on Mrs. W. and the Toronto production.
